A friend of mine turned me onto this saxophone website, which clearly caters to the professional saxophonist, student, and collectors alike.
Used Saxophone and Vintage Saxophone dealer, Joe Sax Woodwinds, seems to have quite a unique product/market, not exactly sweeping the country with interest. However, it's really quite a nifty little website. Perhaps if saxophone legends, John Coltrane, or Charlie "Bird" Parker were still alive, they would be shopping at this place. Joe, you see, sells some pretty in-demand used saxophones. Many of these are in fact considered, vintage saxophones...meaning they're very old and collectible. Some of these used and vintage saxophones were made in Paris, by a company named Selmer, founded by Henri Selmer, I believe.
Anyway, seems that these saxophones are selling like hotcakes. Who would think there was such a great market for these kinds of musical instruments?
